Title: Small electric motors.
Post by: capeklr on October 05, 2016, 09:07:29 AM
Hi everybody,

reading on another forum last night I came across a post which gave me the idea to start a new thread here.
This person found small motors in old cell phones.
If your phone can vibrate then there is a small motor in there.
They are like 4mm in diameter and about 7mm long and work on about 1.2Volts.
We all have old cell phones lying around so why not dismantle it and see what can be used.
I have also found very nice and powerful precision motor and drive systems in old printers.

As I come across more usable items I will ad them to this thread, if you know of anything that could be useful please ad that here as well. :thumb:

This is going to be interesting Jörg.....  8) It will depend on the speed of the motor e.g. grinding wheel in the HO workshop or shaking tree before being felled. What about a road worker with a jack hammer? Hmmmmm.

Any more ideas?  8)
