Hi folks!
Ten years ago I started with a few meters of rails. I had just built some wagons, needed some rails for tests. Two circles are now in service, the total lenght of tracks is just 100 meters. The third part, named 'mountain line' is now ready to set up the rails. The first fifteen metres or so are now fixed! It's growing slowly, bacause there is a little more work then a H0-layout inside the house...

Hallo, that is some great progress. :thumb:
I think that we can put the bottle of champagne in the fridge so long, the golden spike is not far of. ;D
-
Next update: The rails are fixed. Not all is done, I expect the additional turnouts this days. Then still the inner round is incomplete. Temporising next lucky Lottodraw...

The 4th part from the mountain-line (Bergstrecke) needs bridges. A first one is prepared to applicate the surface.

@LooWille:
The scale is 1:22,5 (LGB) IIm, narrow gauge 1000mmm = 45 mm.
@ capeklr:
@ BigEd:
I'm not ready yet, because the components for the "battery and remote" system are missing in the USA... The DHL-sending was deflected as a misdirected mail. Its very difficult to make the difference between RSA and USA... The result is, that my main engines arend not usable at present!

Good morning
Let's make bridges! Materials: Styrofoam; Concrete (by the first); Acrylic paint.
The first one:
1180mm long, 420mm high, 150mm wide, aptitude 2,6%, radius 140mm; Weight approx. 15 Kg, when finished.
Pic see three postings above!
The scond one:
940mm long, 580mm high, 150mm wide, aptitude 2,6%, radius none (straight); Weight approx 3 Kg, when finished.
Needs not to be filled with concrete, will be sticking on the wall behind.

Hi Folks!
No lucky Lottodraw was necessary - only a Bank Account...
Switches (turnouts) arrived, Station finish... and the total length of rails is growing to 150 meters.

Wow! This long weekend was really suitable for running trains on the new layout, just put into operation. I prefere standard trains, so I present some samples:
A fantasy train based on the LGB set with the blue Mallet and two CIWL coaches. Added with the baggage waggon from Alpine Classic and the RhB WR 3812 dining car "Gourmino". Nothing is suitable, but it looks good...
A local train from the RhB; LGB manufactured Ge 2/4 205 drags three Kiss centredoor B coaches (with modified bogies) and two Kiss Gkv waggons.
A german train with the 994605 mini steam loco, three repainted coaches (who was origin blue/cream and red/cream), with small "Laenderbahn" waggons, adjusted in my own railway company. All make from LGB.
Cheers, trainmaster

Hi Folks
I'm still here and spend a lot of time for built in the "remote-action" in several engines. One ofthem is operating nicely, the others are comming in this phase soon ;D., But what is a train in to alay out without landscape... This days I had a helper or two, became some filling materials, a truck supplied gravel... And now that presents like this:

I'ts not only a rumor - It's all for the forum braai at the end of September (25th perhaps?). I let hear from me early enough.

Very nicely done, but I will not drive with that train as it looks like the driver is holding his cell phone to his ear. ;D :peep:
-
Morning Joerg!
We are in a ciber world. Train is controlled by joy-stick and Wifi. ;D So the driver has a laptop for watching the signals on ETC Level 5. ??? The driver needs the cellphone for communication to the control center. >:D
Thats the modern life! All clear now? :loco:
Enjoy jour sunday!

Clear as mud.
;D ;D ;D ;D

Hello
Finally the second loco with Battery power and remote is in duty. But she was looking a little bit naked on the roof. So I had to make it model like.
After decoration the roof looks similar to the original!
Also the front part was looking empty
(http://up.picr.de/27104695dl.jpg)
In found the way to do that a little bit more real
(http://up.picr.de/27104696mg.jpg)
Thats what I mean as real modelling!
