Hi Guys,
BigEd had a modification done to the site today. The mod allows you to insert images into your post with more ease than it currently takes.
You'll see the button "Add image to post" button is new, just above the text box where you type.
When you want to insert a photo, click "add image to post"
(http://s24.postimg.org/grqq0rewx/image.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/grqq0rewx/)
Then you get to this screen, which opens in a new window.
(http://s3.postimg.org/ym40f14rj/image.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/ym40f14rj/)
Click "Browse" to select an image from your PC, choose if you want to resize it (a good size is Message Boards - 640x480, but this doesn't make much of a difference) mark it as family friendly. Then click "Upload."
The photo uploads and the screen goes blank. You can the navigate back to the post window and you'll find the image URL already in the place where you were last typing.
If anything doesn't work as it should, leave a reply here and we'll see what the issue is,
Regards,
Rick

Hi Guys,
for now I'm using photobucket and it seems to work well.
Always use the direct link.
Cheers.
-
Seeing that using Photobucket got more and more difficult recently and now has
decided to charge a hefty amount of $399.00 per year for third party hosting of photo's
I decided to see if I can't use Postimage with a direct link to let the photo appear not just as
a thumbnail, but in a decent size in my posts.
Signed up, loaded a few photo's and found the direct link and have fixed the first four pages of
my Layout thread.
I have read there terms and conditions, but I'm not quite sure how they make their money to host these
photo's. No adverts to click away which I like.
Has anybody else read through their terms and conditions?
What do you think?
-
I prefer using the direct loading of pics
-
I've done that now on page six of my Layout thread.
I'll repair it all as I get time.

Hi all.
After discussing this with other members, we are going to pull his method.
The mayor reason being that Postimages are a "free" option, only to come at a hefty price. All and any items you post via them are now belonging to them. For most that will probably not be an issue but I hate bullies, especially cyber bullies. Therefore this must go.
