Title: Steel Mills or Plants

Hi Guys,

Would like to add a small steel plant or steel mill to my layout that I'm starting with

Building in scale 00 at the moment

Can anybody give me any info or know of something that I can use as a guide line

Was given this as a guide (model railroader's guide to steel mills by Bernard Kempinski ) but I cant find it anywhere as nobody has a copy and I cant download it either

Can anybody help or recommend something else

Hi Gary

Do you plan to scratch build it or build a kit?

Wes, would prefer to scratch build, but I guess if I can get some of it in kit form that might also help

Gary,

Walthers did a whole range of steel mill kits in HO.  See https://www.walthers.com/exec/page/steel (https://www.walthers.com/exec/page/steel)  These may give you some ideas on what you can do.

Thanks Neil, will surely have a look at them, looks like the got a load of nice stuff as well
